Air Conditioning & Ventilation Maintenance and Servicing Contracts

Service & Maintenance Contracts

Ventec Services Limited offer planned, preventative maintenance and servicing contracts on all our air conditioning and ventilation units for your peace of mind. We offer all our customers full continuity with our air conditioning and ventilation maintenance contracts “on all new contracts” and “on all new installations” as well as planned maintenance contracts for customers who already have air conditioning, ventilation and heating units. Some businesses prefer not to be tied down to a contract, so we also offer a one off service visit as and when our clients need them.

To conform to the latest F gas regulations, we offer regular leak checks with all contracts

Air Conditioning Servicing and Maintenance Contracts

Why is it so important to maintain your Air Conditioning / Ventilation Units?

Apart from the obvious benefits of maintaining any mechanical equipment, it is a statutory obligation and a duty of care to have all air conditioning / ventilation units checked or assessed. This is designed to improve the efficiency and reduce consumption, operating costs and carbon emissions for all systems.

All air conditioning / ventilation systems with an effective rating of more than 12Kw must be regularly inspected by an energy assessor with a maximum of 5 years apart. For all systems first put into service on or after 1 January 2008 the first inspection must take place within the first 5 years.

For more information on this please visit the government’s website at www.communites.gov.uk

It is also a legal requirement due to the Montreal Protocol (EC1005/2009) that all air-conditioning systems containing CFC and HCFC refrigerant gases (Fluorinated greenhouse gases) are leak tested on a regular basis and records made of any such leaks or repairs. Systems containing 3Kg (small split systems individual offices) must be checked once per 12 months and systems containing 30Kg or more (VRF systems multiple offices off one out door unit) are checked once per 6 months.

All our engineers are gas trained to City and Guilds standards which enables us to carry out these checks and provide our clients with the certification they require for their audits.

As part of every maintenance contract we service we include these checks on behalf of our customers as part of the contract. Also by servicing the equipment we make sure it is working to the best of its abilities from both an efficiency and consumption factor.

More benefits of Air Conditioning Maintenance Contracts

Another benefit from having a maintenance contract for your air conditioning or ventilation unit is to give our customers peace of mind with no hefty call out charges, same day visits were possible, no mileage charges. They also take priority over general breakdown calls from none contracted clients.

However some businesses choose not to sign up to a contract preferring to control the servicing of their plant and in particular service dates. At Ventec we do not frown on this as we know every business has its own needs and therefore we are just as happy to carry out the servicing of the equipment on a one off basis.

We will still provide the same documents and certification our clients require.

If a maintenance contract is the way forward for you we would send a qualified engineer to site to check over the systems installed at your premises to enable us to take a note of the refrigerant type being used and to assess the condition of the equipment.

We would then provide a written quotation along with a draft contract for you to sign. Once both parties have signed the contract we would organise with the customer mutual service visit dates (once per 6 months).

Important

The checks usually correspond with the start of the heating season and the start of the cooling season so that the client benefits from the use of their units when they need them.

Service report sheets are always signed by our customers to make sure they are aware of the service just been carried out and will also receive any documentation relating to the F gas regulations.

We will then write to all our clients at least one month before renewals are due to remind them and to notify them of any changes.

To date we have had a 90% success rate on renewals which we believe is due to the good service we provide and the competence and friendliness of our staff.
